A little birdie

Made these name blocks for my new niece Charlotte Faith. The pink, orangeand brown coordinate perfectly with her Springtime Birdie bedding set by Skip Hop.

I love the little birdies in this collection.  Using my Create a Critter Cricut cartridge I was able to recreate these whimsical and sweet little treetop friends.

I always have a great time making name blocks. They are one of my favorite DIY projects. I love it even more when they are made for precious little babies named Charlotte.

Sprinkled with Love

A baby Sprinkle is perfect for second time mom's who don't need to be showered with gifts but just sprinkled with love from family and friends.

This special event was in honor of my Sister who was expecting her second baby girl. I couldn't wait for her to see this cake designed by the super talented Catherine's Cakery. It was a huge hit among the guests in taste and style.

This baby carriage watermelon was a sweet addition to our meal. This isn't the first time my Mom has demonstrated her talents in getting crafty with the watermelon.

An Evening in Paris

A Paris inspired bridal shower is the perfect way to celebrate this bride's love for fine wine and cheese.

These beautiful Parisian inspired cupcakes from Catherine's Cakery were a perfect compliment to the décor and also our tastebuds. They were sweet, moist and oh so pretty.

A French feast for the family and friends of the bride with macarons, a delightful selection of cheese and crackers and most importantly an endless supply of wine.

Thrilled to be the Matron of Honor in the celebration of love and marriage of one of my longest and most cherished friends.

The photos were taken by a friend and guest of the bride, Liz Beddall.  She also happens to be a very talented photographer who will be shooting the special day in September. Can't wait!!

Be my Valentine

My father asked me to make these lovely cake pops for his fellow volunteers at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

He is a true gentleman. Always knows the way to people's hearts.

Welcome to the jungle

Vibrant and Wild.
Madden's 1st birthday party was my introduction into the world of party styling.

Elephants, Giraffes and Monkeys! The jungle theme was a favorite of mine since finding out I was having a boy. Madden's nursery is home to many of these wild animals!

This two tiered chocolate and vanilla cake was created from a collective effort of talents within the family.  Thank you my dear sisters.

A pirate's life for me

Treasure, Gold and Pirates. This themed party was a hit for my son Madden's second birthday

The inspiration for this party came from these pirate ship cupcake holders that I purchased in Nova Scotia.

Pirate Cake Pops. A delicious mix of cake and icing dipped in chocolate.
Need I say more?

Pirate ship watermelon filled with fruit swords. Made with love by Nannie.
I'm not the only one in the family who likes to get crafty.

Seagull's Eggs, fish and chips, tuna sandwiches, cannon balls and a treasure platter. This was a feast that was enjoyed by even the littlest pirates!
